Cook like an Italian: Pasta Sauce
Coming from a family of hard-core-"just off the mainland" Italians, cooking is the central hub of our daily living, intensified and glorified into an art form. The significant rite of passage for girls is the cooking of the pasta sauce, the basics of Italian "anything"; Basking in the rich smells of roasted garlic and the seductive sizzle of the tomato sauce as it and the pot become one is a delicate and beautiful process; every step is a dance and a show of Italian mastery. As my mother said, "Once you know how to make the real sauce, the rest [Italian cuisine] comes easy".
So how can you make that special pasta sauce that will warm everyone's heart and stomach?

Is This Seat Taken? the Invasion of the Personal Space Norm
Society calls everyone to conformity, or in other words, to change one's behavior in accordance to a group dictation[1]. Normative influences, a type of conformity that is based for one's desire to be accepted into a group and fill other's expectations[2], will often lead one to avoid painful rejection and possible low-blows to self esteem. DIY Laptop Skin for $1
Want a cheap way to cover a laptop and give it that fashionable edge? The Dollar Tree is a great place to get this look!
Materials:
1 roll of contact paper-$1 at Dollar Tree
1craft knife
1 ruler
Scissors
Time:
30-45min
Remember using contact paper to line cabinets? ( yeah it's a vintage concept, but thanks to fineandfeathered.com, a whole new world of possibilities is born!)
With a simple unfurling of the contact paper, and tracing of the laptop screen side down as well as the keyboard surface, and meticulous cutting with a craft knife or straight-edge, I separated the paper from its sheave, and carefully laid it out, flattening each section firmly until it is to my liking!
It may take a steady hand and some patience, but the result is well worth the effort!

The Greatest April Foo'ls Fail
For me, April Fool's Day is the non-sensical holiday where I was the butt of everyone's joke, especially my closest friends, who always concocted the best, and albeit, unexpected, jokes that always left me grumbling in utter annoyance. After enduring constant good-natured barrages of deliberated humor at my expense, I decided that I would be the one to finally concoct the greatest April Fool's joke of all April Fool's jokes, and go down in history as prankster extraordinaire...
